What shall we say then?

Rom 6:1 What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace might increase?

Why did Paul ask this question? To whom did he ask it? Some say, that as true Christians, we don't or can't sin. Then what is with the question? He states that he is writing this letter to " all the beloved of God in Rome, called as Saints ". These are Christians. This must mean they were having some problems maintaining a consistent walk with our Lord.

Rom 6:2 May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?

I see and understand that we " are dead to sin ". I also know that our flesh is still attached to us, and sin attacks us though the flesh. If we do not understand the we have been delivered from the kingdom of darkness, then we can continue to walk around, fettered to that sin and stay miserable, serving ourselves and ignoring what our Father wants us to do. Only by His Word do we have victory over the power of sin.

Rom 10:17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.
1Co 15:57 but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Yes we are able to sin. No we are not to live in sin, nor are we to " take advantage " of our freedom in Christ. We are dead to sin and need to stay in His Word, not to make "brownie points " with Him, but to learn of Him and know his will. The only way to do this is by faith, through the power of His Holy Spirit.
2Co 5:7 for we walk by faith, not by sight

frustration or faith

This is Websters def. of frustration. I also heard years ago that it is a form of anger. Anger comes sometimes when you are afraid of losing something.
: a deep chronic sense or state of insecurity and dissatisfaction arising from unresolved problems or unfulfilled needs.
I guess when I get frustrated about my children and how they appear not to be listening to me, or doing what I think they need to be doing, or not doing it like I told them to do it, I feel like I am losing control. The reality of the matter is, I've never been in control. God is in control. He lets me make decisions, yes, but some how,( don't ask me , I can't explain.) He is always in control and works all things out for His Glory and the ultimate good of all involved.
It really does happen by Faith, and that is strengthened by Him, through His Word. When we look at our circumstances and situations, and worry about them, we are focused on our selves, not Him and His plan. We do not have to know His plan,we just need to trust him.

Mar 11:22 And Jesus *answered saying to them, "Have faith in God.
Mar 11:23 "Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it shall be granted him.

Perfect dads?

Why is it , that most dads on Christian radio don't appear , at least to me, to have flaws?I listen to some programs and come away more frustrated than before. These guys talk about how they lead their children through daily stuff and their children learn life lessons and love God, and if they ever question authority, they see the truth of their dads point of veiw, which matches perfctly with scripture and never falters. Do they ever yell at their Chidren? Have they ever disciplined their children out of anger? Do their chidren always repond with obedience and respect? If so, why?
